- 1 cup butter
- 2 cups of sugar
- 3 cups of flour
- 4 eggs
- 1 cup of orange juice
- 2 tablespoons of orange zest
- 2 teaspoons of baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180•C and grease and flour your pan.
- Sift in a bowl your dry ingredients: Flour, baking powder and salt.
- mix the butter and sugar with an electric mixer at medium speed in a large bowl. Add the eggs one at a time. Finally, add the vanilla and orange zest.
- Add the flour mixture alternating with the orange juice three times. Scrape the bowl a couple of times with a spatula to ensure everything is mixed.
- Pour the cake mix into the pan. Bake the cake for 45 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let it cool down for 15 minutes before putting out of the mould.
- Sprinkle with powdered sugar the top of the cake.
Notes
You can change the zest and juice to lemon and make a Lemon cake.
