It is a chocolatier cake that your mind will not believe that beetroots are inside, and the best about this recipe is that it is effortless to do it.

Cake:
- 1/2 cup of oil
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup maple syrup
- 1/2 dark chocolate melts or chips (60 grams)
- 2 cups beetroot, grated
- 3 eggs, slightly beaten
- 1 1/2 cup of flour
- 1 teaspoon of baking powder
- 1/4 cup of cocoa
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt
Ganache
- 3/4 cup of cream
- 150 grams of dark chocolate
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup
Instructions
- Preheat the oven at 160°C and grease a round pan and baking paper on the bottom.
- Let the grated beetroot sit over a strain so you can discard all the excess liquid.
- In a saucepan, melt the chocolate, maple syrup, sugar and oil over medium heat. As soon it is melted, turn off the heat and pour it over a clean bowl.
- Mix:Add the rest of the ingredients to the chocolate bowl: beetroot, slightly beaten eggs, flour, cocoa, baking powder, salt, and vanilla. Mix it well and pour it over the prepared pan.
- Bake, the chocolate beetroot cake for 1 hour or until a toothpick, comes with little crumbs stick to eat no raw dough. Cool down for 15 minutes before removing from the pan. Decor with the ganache or just pour over each piece as I did.
- To prepare the ganache: Melt the cream, chocolate and maple syrup in a saucepan over low heat until the ganache is completely melted. Turn the heat off and let it cool for 15 minutes before using it.
