Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter
  • 2 cups of sugar
  • 3 cups of flour
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup of orange juice
  • 2 tablespoons of orange zest
  • 2 teaspoons of baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180•C and grease and flour your pan.
  2. Sift in a bowl your dry ingredients: Flour, baking powder and salt.
  3. mix the butter and sugar with an electric mixer at medium speed in a large bowl. Add the eggs one at a time. Finally, add the vanilla and orange zest.
  4. Add the flour mixture alternating with the orange juice three times. Scrape the bowl a couple of times with a spatula to ensure everything is mixed.
  5. Pour the cake mix into the pan. Bake the cake for 45 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Let it cool down for 15 minutes before putting out of the mould.
  7. Sprinkle with powdered sugar the top of the cake.

Notes

You can change the zest and juice to lemon and make a Lemon cake.
