Quick garlic and lime prawn recipe

If you are in a hurry but want to do some comfort food, this quick garlic and lime prawn recipe is for you. Few ingredients and 5 minutes of preparation are enough to serve this meal on your table. For me is the perfect recipe when my toddler is a little fuzzy and doesn’t want to wait a lot for a meal. 

Ingredients

16 prawns or large shrimp

2 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil

1 teaspoon minced garlic

1 tablespoon lime juice

1 teaspoon lime zest

2 sprigs of thyme or chopped cilantro

salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, over medium-high heat, pour the olive oil. Add the garlic and fry it for 30 seconds before adding the prawns. Let them cook for 1 minute on each side, and add the lime juice, lime zest, thyme, salt and pepper. Let it cook for another 30 seconds.
  2. Serve them over rice, pasta, veggies or jas as an appetizer with some bread on the side to dip in those luscious juices. I served it over some rice this time, and it was the perfect quick lunch for us. So let me know if you try this quick lime and garlic prawn recipe.
