22 Jun A quick dinner: Steamed SAlmon
Sometimes you want something delicate and warm for dinner for those cold nights, but as a mum, I completely understand that you don’t want to invest a lot of time in a weekday dinner so this recipe will be for you. We have become a huge advocate of eating salmon in this family for being such a good protein, so try different ways of doing it: raw, grilled, bake, and this time steamed. We normally bake some veggies in another tray while cooking the salmon you will have a complete meal when you finish it. This time we keep it simple, but your imagination is your limit so you could add some veggies inside the pocket too.
Ingredients:
2 salmon pieces
olive oil
lime zest
thyme leaves
salt and pepper
Prep:
- Preheat the oven at 180°C. Prepare a baking tray with parchment paper.
- You will cut two 30 cm parchment paper to make the steamed pockets.
- Put the salmon in the middle of the parchment paper, drizzle with olive oil, sprinkle some lime zest, thyme, salt and pepper. Fold the paper in half and fold all borders twice to keep it close. Repeat with the other piece and put the salmons over the baking tray.
- Bake for 20 minutes and open the parchment pocket with a scissor and enjoy the steamed salmon with your favourite veggies or rice.
