A dessert on the go that you can do in your home. The best thing is that you can use this crepe recipe to fill with whatever your imagination wants, so try it and let your craving dictate your filling. For example, you could fill them with nutella and strawberries or peanut butter and bananas.
Ingredients:
Crepes:
1 cup of flour
2 cups of milk
3 eggs
Apple filling
4 apples
3 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 cup of water
Salty Caramel Sauce
4 tablespoon unsalted butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup whipping cream
1/2 teaspoon pink salt
Prep:
- For the crepes, mix the three ingredients well. Preheat a pan over medium heat, pour two or three tablespoons of the mixture to the pan. Move the pan to spread well the mixture to make a thin crepe. Let it cook for a couple of minutes and flip it over to cook the other side. Set aside. Repeat till you use the whole mixture.
- For the filling cut the apple in small dices. Cook them in a medium heat pan with the water, sugar and cinnamon till the water is consumed and the apples are tender. If you need to cook further add some more water. Set aside.
- To make the sauce just melt the butter with the sugar in a medium heat pan. When the mixture begins to caramelize and turns golden brown, pour the cream and whisk it quickly so the mixture doesn´t overflow. Cook until thickened and use it right away.
- To assemble the crepes put a couple of tablespoon of filling to each crepe and roll it. To finish just drizzle with the caramel sauce and enjoy them warm.
