Our Thoughts:
As you must already know Chris is into BBQ and trying different things, especially if it is smoked BBQ. But I was always hesitant about smoked food because my past experiences were always very dry and dull food with a smoky flavour. Now I know that I haven’t been to the right place after trying Frankie’s Smokehouse….wow it blows our mind how juicy and flavourful can smoking things can be. We went there with a friend that suggested that place to meet us (Chris had always seen it but I was not convinced to go..hahaha…BTW now I completely regret that) They had the sample platter and we order the beef rib and chicken wings…it was so good that we ate it all and completely forgot to take some pics. So we went again by ourselves just to take some pics (obviously ..haha) and to taste it again, but this time I went for the BBQ chicken wings and Chris order the half rack pork ribs (pics of both dishes). We also order some beer on the tab….everything was delicious just like the first time…I can’t handle the sweet taste of that BBQ sauce…it must have some bourbon or Jack Daniels… it’s so sticky and yummy that I’m drooling again while I’m writing. We definitely recommend it and we will try to go again in the future.

Hi! I’m Valeria (aka Val) the photographer and recipe developer behind Canguro Criollo. My passion for food began when I was little at my home when everything will revolve around food and now I discover this new creative outlet of food photography. I wish you can follow my journey discovering unique ways of preparing Peruvian food abroad and some other family-friendly foods.
