I remember as it was yesterday when I received a Sesame Street book collection. Each book was a letter of the abecedary, and this recipe was on the letter A. You will think that you told as that is a Honey Cookie how it goes in the A letter, but they will explain all about Bees (Abejas), and therefore they show you a Honey Cookie recipe. As soon as I saw this page, I told my mom and Elena, my babysitter and an essential part of my infancy, that I wanted to bake that recipe. At that time, I was 6 or 7 years old on kindy. They agreed and helped me do it, especially using the oven for the recipe. I’m glad they did when it was not so usual at that time. Imagine it was 1986-1987, not like today that you are so used to introducing your little ones into the kitchen. 

For me, it was magical to mix all those ingredients that were so yummy, put some sprinkles and wait for the result 15 minutes later. It was magic for me and initiated my passion for food and entrepreneurship. Later, I sold those cookies for funds for my favourite toys. I want to reproduce this recipe to share it with your little ones as I did with mine. He loves to mix things, and now he will always ask for a beater, hahaha. The recipe contains:

• flour
• baking powder
• salt
• unsalted butter
• sugar
• egg
• vanilla
• honey

The process is straightforward. You mix all the wet ingredients and then add the dry ones. Make some balls and place them in baking trays into the oven.

1. Can you freeze the cookies? Yes, you can freeze the dough and let it be at room temperature for a while so you can make the balls to cook them. 
2. Can I use any type of honey? Yes, you can, but I highly recommend doing it with good quality and natural one.
