Bacon and Onion Quiche 


I love to bake quiche just as a main dish with a salad on the side or to have for an appetizer when we have some friends over. Is also a good option for a picnic outside. 

You can use pre-made dough or do it by yourself with the recipe that we have on the blog.

Ingredients:

1 quiche crust

4 onions

250 grams of bacon

2 tablespoon butter 

1 cup cream

3 eggs

1/2 cup parmesan

Salt and pepper

Prep:

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 C and bake the dough for 20 minutes. I bake it with some parchment paper over and ceramic weights. at the end of 20 mins put the parchment paper and weight off. 
  2. Meanwhile cut the onion into small squares and the bacon in the same size.  
  3. In a pan over medium heat put the butter to melt and fry the onion till they are golden brown. Add the bacon and fry them till they are golden too. 
  4. Beat the eggs to break them thru and add the cream. Add the onions, bacon, parmesan cheese and taste to add some salt and pepper. Pour it over the pre-baked dough. 
  5. Bake the quiche for 30 minutes and enjoy it.
