Chocolate Chip Muffins

Chocolate chip muffins

These chocolate chip muffins are a quick recipe to indulge your family and friends. Try it and you would not regret it. 

Ingredients:

2 cups of self-raising flour

2 teaspoon baking powder

3/4 cups of sugar

1/2 teaspoon salt

3/4 cup of milk

1/3 cup of oil

1 egg

1 teaspoon vanilla

3/4 cup of chocolate chips

1 tablespoon sugar and 1 tablespoon brown sugar to sprinkle the muffins

Prep:

  1. Preheat the oven at 190ºC. Prepare a muffin tray with muffin liners. Reserve for later use.
  2. Combine the wet ingredients (milk, oil, egg and vanilla).
  3. Add the dry ingredients (flour, baking powder, sugar and salt) to the wet mixture. Finally, incorporate the chocolate chips. 
  4. Scoop the mixture into each muffin liner. Fill the cups 2/3 full. Sprinkle each muffin with a mixture of 1 tablespoon sugar and 1 tablespoon brown sugar. 
  5. Cook the muffins for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick comes clean from the centre of the muffins. Cool them for a couple of minutes before you remove them of the tray. Enjoy them with your favourite tea or coffee or serve them as a dessert peeling the linen off and adding a scoop of ice cream with some chocolate sauce.
