08 Dec Christmas Cookies: cinnamon Chocolate Crinkles
I wanted to bake a cookie with my son, but I want to try a new flavour for Christmas. So I was navigating thru my recipes and some websites to find a new cookie for my Christmas repertoire.
I was looking for a crinkle cookie but didn’t want the classic chocolate one or add some colour inside the dough to make it more festive, so why not add some Christmas spices to the chocolate one.
The result was a Cinnamon Chocolate crinkle recipe to die for with tons of Christmas flavour. If you are looking for a homemade gift this Christmas, this will be it.
I also love this recipe because you can make the dough in advance and let it in on the freezer up o 3 days before cooking. It would help if you let it rest for at least 6 hours before cooking, so better to make it in advance.
Ingredients:
- sugar
- vegetable oil
- cocoa
- eggs
- vanilla
- flour
- baking powder
- salt
- cinnamon
- cloves
- icing sugar
You mix everything with a hand mixer, first the wet ingredients, then add the dry one and let it rest on the fridge for 6 hours before cooking. It is perfect for baking with your kids because everything you can do is by hand.
